Head of Product is a senior-level executive responsible for leading the product strategy, development, launch, and management of retirement-related offerings. This includes managing a team, defining product roadmaps, and collaborating with other departments to ensure a successful product lifecycle. The role requires strong leadership, industry knowledge, and technical expertise to deliver innovative and customer-centric solutions. The overriding focus will be on the strategic management of the product set both in developing new propositions and ongoing management of its existing product range.
Individual Accountabilities:
Product Strategy and Vision. Defines the overall product strategy for retirement offerings, aligning with the company's business goals and market trends. This includes identifying opportunities, developing roadmaps, and ensuring that product efforts contribute to the organization's objectives. Conducts market research, analyzes competitive landscapes, and identifies opportunities to innovate and differentiate retirement products.
Product Development. Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and design to launch and ongoing improvement. This includes managing the delivery team, setting priorities, and ensuring that products meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management and Cross-Functional Collaboration. Communicates product vision, roadmaps, and progress to key stakeholders, including executives, partners, and clients. Works closely with other departments, such as sales, marketing, technology, and operations, to ensure that product initiatives are successful. This includes building relationships, aligning goals, and resolving conflicts.
Develop and maintain an external presence as a thought leader by attending, presenting and delivering thought leadership insights related to retirement plan participants.
Key Shared Accountabilities:
As part of the US Retirement leadership team, participate and lead to achieving shared business goals.
Attract, develop, promote and retain top, diverse talent in US Retirement and more broadly, Manulife organization.
Required Qualifications:
15 years+ experience in retirement industry with driving participant actions and outcomes.
10 years+ experience in people leadership with demonstrated ability to attract, develop, promote and retain top, diverse talent.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with SAFE Agile delivery methodology.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Public speaking and keynote presentation experience.

HybridSalary range is expected to be between

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
