Recognizing Sanford Health partners with more than 30 Tribal Nations across the region, this role will be responsible for improving Tribal health equity and experience by coordinating work between Human Resources, Operations, Government Affairs, Patient Financial Services, Insurance, and Community Relations. This role will be responsible for coordinating with operations on creating and maintaining the strategic direction and initiatives for building and fostering a strong relationship with more than 30 Tribal Nations within the Sanford Enterprise. Works within the Sanford Health Equity and Experience office in close partnership with regional operations teams to identify and address Tribal health disparity issues and cultural competency concerns related to care coordination, services and care delivery. Promotes Tribal access to healthcare coverage and educating communities about the services provided by Sanford. Networks with multiple Sanford Health providers and external stakeholders to develop a comprehensive approach to education and screening. Provides educational information about the importance of ongoing screening and prevention for a variety of screenings as well as public health offerings and promotions. In conjunction with local executives, networks with regional University Systems, Tribal Colleges in recruiting Tribal Nations workforce and provides oversight to Sanford scholarship programs to Tribal Nations. Contributes to the training of Sanford Health staff to better understand and adjust routine practices for cultural sensitivity and familiarity with Tribal Nations to result in the best, most culturally responsive care possible. Continues to develop a robust, multi-faced approach to improving overall public health through eliminating barriers to care and enhancing education and awareness within Tribal Nations. Partners and promotes healthy lifestyles to Native American youth through Sanford POWER, athletics, leadership, and activities. Partners with cross-functional teams within the enterprise (i.e. HR, Quality, Research, and Employee Data Analytics) to mature the framework used to monitor, educate, and improve healthcare outcomes, patient experience, and employee experience for Tribal Nations. Oversees the analyzation of data and insights to identify, understand and articulate the key inputs and metrics that tell the story of the progress of the initiatives within Tribal Nations. Works with Sanford Health Insurance Team to actively pursue open bids for the Sanford Health Plan in Tribal entities (i.e., tribal government, tribal colleges, casinos). Will work with Sanford Government Affairs, Legislative policy team regarding Federal, State and Tribal Policy. Works with Sanford Revenue-Financial Services Team to help streamline billing, finances, and revenue in partnership with Tribal clinics and Indian Health Services. Works with Sanford Community Relations and Media Teams to support Tribal community events, partnerships, and media projects. Works within the Office of Health Equity and Experience to ensure aligned strategic initiatives within the enterprise. Maintains contact with others in the field (e.g., professional association and educational groups, and professional development efforts) to support Sanford Health's vision, mission and goals. **Qualifications** Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum five years’ experience in organizational development, industrial and organizational psychology, or related field. Five years’ experience in a formal leadership position working with diverse, underserved minorities, and/or organizations in complex environments. Preferred candidate will have extensive knowledge and direct experience with the Native American communities in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota Experience in Healthcare and/or Insurance industry preferred. Experience working with federal and state employment and healthcare regulations preferred. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred.
