We’re looking for a Head of Technical Training to lead a new training centre at the heart of the UK’s net zero transition. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing high-quality training programmes, setting up an innovative, hands-on learning environment, and building a team of expert trainers.
This is a great opportunity to lead both the day-to-day delivery and long-term strategic growth of a national hub for retrofit and low-carbon construction skills. As the team grows, your role will evolve into a senior leadership position, focused on innovation, quality, and programme expansion across the UK.
What you’ll be doing
Leading the design, setup, and delivery of our new Net Zero Training CentreDesigning and delivering high-quality training across retrofit and net zero topics, including PAS 2035 roles, insulation, airtightness, ventilation, and heat decarbonisation.Specifying equipment, developing hands-on rigs, and shaping engaging learning environmentsRecruiting, mentoring, and leading a growing technical training teamEnsuring all programmes meet industry and accreditation standards (e.g. PAS 2035, NOCN)Innovating delivery models—including blended, practical-first, and workplace learningRepresenting The Verdancy Group with employers, partners, and sector stakeholdersContributing to the development of new programmes and national expansion plansWhat you’ll bring
Extensive experience in delivering technical training in retrofit, low-carbon, or construction sectorsStrong leadership and centre development experience—ideally from a start-up or growth phaseDeep knowledge of industry standards (e.g. PAS 2035) and practical training deliveryExcellent communication, mentoring, and team-building skillsA passion for innovation, quality, and learner successWhy join us?
