Qualtrics is seeking a seasoned leader to take on the role of Head of Strategic Events and Activations for the AMER market. This is a crucial leadership position on the Americas Field Marketing and Demand Generation team responsible for driving the strategic vision and overseeing a team that executes all aspects of our Executive Programs, third-party events, and strategic sponsorship activations—such as those associated with PGA, Delta Center, and Diamond Baseball Holdings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in B2B SaaS event marketing and will excel in driving high-impact events that generate pipeline and accelerate deal velocity and conversion and be happiest working in a fast-paced high-growth environment. They will be able to articulate previous successes with specific examples backed by data.

\nReporting to the VP of Americas Field Marketing and Demand Gen, this strategic leader will collaborate closely with marketing counterparts in the AMER field team, executive stakeholders, our Events CoE and the regional sales team to create memorable and impactful events that focus on contributing directly to revenue growth, brand and thought leadership.\n \nHow You’ll Find Success\n\nTake ownership of the strategic direction for events and activations, ensuring alignment with our Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and overall business objectives.\nDevelop strong relationships with senior executives, effectively communicating and managing their expectations to garner support for event initiatives.\nInnovate and design unique event experiences that resonate with target clients, utilizing creativity to adapt and optimize based on feedback and outcomes.\nFoster a collaborative environment within your team and across departments, ensuring seamless execution of integrated marketing programs and effective team dynamics.\nUtilize metrics and reporting to assess event effectiveness and ROI, allowing you to refine strategies and improve future event performance.\n\n

\n\nGain invaluable experience in leading a high-impact team, enhancing your leadership skills while mentoring and guiding team members to achieve their full potential in the ever-evolving marketing landscape.\nAs you craft and execute the strategic vision for large-scale events and activations, you will sharpen your abilities in strategic planning, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making, positioning yourself as a thought leader in B2B event marketing.\nBuild a robust professional network by engaging with senior executives and industry leaders through high-profile events, expanding your connections and opportunities for collaboration across various sectors.\n\nThings You’ll Do\n\nStrategic Vision & Execution: Own and craft the strategic direction for regional events and activations, ensuring alignment to our ICPs, strategic GTM plays and with overall business objectives to generate new opportunities and nurture existing opportunities to accelerate and convert  \nExecutive stakeholder management: This role involves direct and frequent engagement with our most senior executives internally as well as senior executives externally so experience with successful executive management is critical  \nPeople management: Hire and lead a high-impact team of engaged team event marketers\nCreative Development: Think innovatively to design unique and tailored 1:Few and 1:Many events and activations that resonate with target clients and sponsors and drive revenue for the business\nCollaboration: Foster deep collaboration with field marketers, sales teams, and other marketing groups to implement high-touch, integrated marketing programs addressing multiple products and industries.\nCampaign Follow-Up: Create, monitor, and execute a comprehensive follow-up strategy to capitalize on event and activation success, ensuring continued engagement post-event.\nEvent Logistics: Oversee logistics and execution of diverse event formats, ensuring seamless execution—from intimate executive dinners to larger-scale sponsorship activations.\nCross-Functional Work: Lead cross-functional initiatives with SDRs, sales, product teams, and customer success to execute region-specific marketing plans and maximize impact.\nMetrics & Reporting: Collaborate with Marketing Operations and Revenue Operations to measure program effectiveness and ROI, utilizing data-driven insights to refine strategies and practices.\nFinancial Oversight: Manage event-related budgets, invoicing, and accounting processes to ensure efficient tracking and reporting across regions.\nTravel: Provide onsite support for key events as necessary, traveling to select regions to enhance execution and engagement.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For On Your Resume\n\nRequired Experience\n\nBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.\n12+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with a minimum of 8 years focused on direct event execution.\nAt least 4 years of experience in people management.\nStrong preference for experience in executive program and sponsorship management.\nProven ability to thrive in ambiguity and develop effective, results-driven strategies quickly.\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities, particularly in managing senior executives.\nWillingness to travel up to 25% to support events.\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nAdvanced degree in Marketing, Business, or a relevant field.\nExpertise in event management software and tools such as Marketo, Salesforce, Asana, and Qualtrics.\nExceptional copywriting skills for promotional materials and event communication.\n\n\n\nWhat You Should Know About This Team\n\nOur team thrives in a dynamic and fast-growing environment, emphasizing innovation and the ability to adapt quickly to industry changes.\nWe prioritize collaboration, working closely with talented professionals across various departments to ensure aligned and effective marketing strategies.\nA strong commitment to professional development and mentorship exists within the team, enabling team members to grow their skills while contributing to impactful marketing efforts in regulated sectors.\n\nOur Team’s Favorite Perks and Benefits\n\nCulture: A vibrant work environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and work-life integration.\nTeam Engagement: Opportunities for team-building activities, company-wide celebrations, and a supportive community.\nHealth and Wellness: Competitive health coverage, wellness stipends, and an annual experience bonus to enhance your personal and professional life.\n\nThe Qualtrics Hybrid Work Model: Our hybrid work model is elegantly simple: we all gather in the office three days a week; Mondays and Thursdays, plus one day selected by your organizational leader. For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
