Description Would you like to own developing and managing relationships with Venture Capital, Accelerators, and other investment firms in EMEA, identifying and working with the highest potential startups, and ensuring AWS is helping the Startup ecosystem? We are seeking a leader with experience working with enterprise technology companies and Startups, who has successfully built and led high-performing teams, and who has led the creation of go-to-market plan to drive multi-billion dollar businesses. The ideal candidate will possess EMEA experience. As the leader for the Startup and Venture Capital Business Development for EMEA, you will have an exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on the plan to build mindshare and broaden the use of Amazon’s cloud computing platform with the investor community and venture-backed startups. Your responsibilities will include leading a high-performing team to drive the necessary business and technical engagements with venture firms and their portfolio companies, to establish meaningful partnerships. You will work closely with the AWS sales, technical, product, marketing, and partner teams to drive initiatives with startups to build long-term business partnerships and help startups be successful on AWS. You and your team will also act as a critical interface to the startup ecosystem for all facets of AWS and Amazon in EMEA. The ideal candidate will possess both a business background and experience that enables them to drive engagement, and effectively interact at the Venture Partner/CxO/VP level startup executives, as well as a technical background that allows them to effectively engage with software developers and architects, and technical founders. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally. They will also possess a passion for new and emerging technologies and how they can shape the future. Key job responsibilities Roles & Responsibilities: * Serve as a key member of the Startup Business Development leadership team in helping to drive overall AWS engagement in the startup ecosystem in EMEA. * Set the direction for the team, create the GTM plan for the business, and create mechanisms for the team to work cross-functionally across AWS to deliver for the Startup ecosystem. * Prepare and deliver business reviews to the leadership regarding progress on and roadblocks to achieving AWS’ goals in the startup ecosystem. Basic Qualifications -Background of Executive leadership roles within large enterprise technology companies coupled ideally with some experience in the Start-up ecosystem. -Track record establishing rapport, building close relationships with C-suite level executives at some of the largest and most complex companies in EMEA. -Demonstrated success achieving business objectives. -Executive-level experience leading a large organization across multiple functions Preferred Qualifications * Experience working in the Startup or Investor ecosystem * Direct knowledge of Start-up entities, ideally having held a leadership role in such entities. * Well-networked in the Start-up Community, with the ability to leverage relationships to expand AWS’ footprint in this customer segment.
