Job DescriptionJob Summary:
The Head of Sourcing, Shared Services, will be responsible for leading and managing the shared services sourcing team in Bogota, Colombia. This role focuses on operational excellence in procurement and sourcing, ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services. The position requires strong leadership, a background in supplier management, and the ability to work across various departments and regions. This professional will be responsible for building the Shared Services site in Bogota for Visa Sourcing, incl. Operations of categories (Tech, Professional Services, Product, Marketing and more).
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management: Lead a team of sourcing professionals, including Analysts and Managers, ensuring alignment with Visa’s operational goals and objectives. Implement and manage Standard Operating Procedures for Procurement Operations and Shared Service Center. Supervise the Procurement Operations team to ensure delivery of buying activities meet or exceed the agreed service level agreements. Oversee all activities performed by the team.
Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient and effective procurement and sourcing of goods and services while maintaining transparency and adhering to best practices. Provide training, clearly define roles throughout Procurement Operations, and establish a customer service and process improvement-focused work culture. Implement a continuous improvement culture through initiatives to enhance the sourcing process and outcomes. Support the implementation of Global Sourcing policies and procedures by working closely with all stakeholders, business units, and sourcing partners. Manage the PR to PO processing activities. Guide internal customers and stakeholders through the end-to-end procurement process. Gather key information from requesters to summarize scope of purchase while identifying potential risk factors. Administer contracts in Ariba Contract Workspace, including the routing of agreements for approvals and signatures and related administrative work. Able to explain to business owners the steps in the Sourcing process and why the different activities are necessary e.g., through communication, documentation, etc. Control and monitor delivery of all procurement transactions and services consistent with Company policy and guidelines. Analyze, administer, and draft order forms or quotes for materials,products,services. Negotiate to achieve favorable terms on quality, delivery, and price to meet end-user needs and consistently deliver cost savings.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Global Sourcing team, Bangalore SSC, Finance, Procurement, and other departments, to ensure alignment and support of sourcing initiatives. Develop training materials and deliver training on operational KPIs. Proactively communicate, implement, and monitor strategy and process updates to the procurement operations team.
Supplier Relationship Management: Develop, manage, and grow strong relationships with current and future suppliers. Review and monitor supplier performance key performance indicators and address concerns promptly. Oversee contract management, supplier onboarding, contract redlining, and negotiation
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all Visa policies, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Identify and promptly escalate sourcing risks to mitigate them. Review and approve contracts in accordance with Global Sourcing policies, procedures and standard terms and conditions. Collaborate with legal and other company departments and functional stakeholders to analyze risks and develop language to minimize exposure. Facilitate supplier selection and negotiation process.
Reporting and Analysis: Develop necessary infrastructure reporting, archiving etc. to manage and monitor the activities of the group. Prepare metrics, status and system performance reports related to internal customer service activities as well as ad-hoc reporting requests. Partner with all levels of leadership to ensure that operational goals and objectives are strategically aligned with the overall strategy of the organization.

QualificationsOver 10 years of experience as a sourcing and/or procurement professional, preferably with a major financial institution or payment card company. Over 7 years of experience managing or supervising a shared service center, procurement transaction processing center or similar delivery model. Over 5 years of experience successfully delivering services based on mutually agreed-upon service level agreements.Demonstrated experience and expertise in people management, mentoring and training. Proven track record of managing and driving teams to achieve and exceed established goals and objectives.Proficiency in purchasing systems and organizational interfaces including Ariba, DocuSign, and Oracle. In-depth understanding of Procurement policies and procedures and their application to the processing of transactions e.g., processing purchase requisitions, processing purchase orders, and modifying purchase orders.Knowledgeable about contract terms and conditions and ability to identify contractual risks, rights, and obligations. Experience with contract negotiations and drafting e.g., Statements of Work, Quotes, Service Orders.Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations on course of action. Strong relationship management skills and ability to influence at a senior management level both internally and externally.Experience developing procurement policies, procedures, and infrastructure in a high paced, rapidly growing environment. Experience in a tactical procurement environment where tactical and strategic procurement are separated under different leadership.Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and to identify new ways to approach old problems. Ability to identify and pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver superior results.High level of self-motivation and initiative, and ability to operate effectively as a team player.Ability and willingness to travel if needed 0 to10 percent business travel expected.Undergraduate degree required, or equivalent work experience, graduate degree in business, economics, finance or accounting preferred. Professional accreditation in sourcing, procurement, accounting, financial analysis a plus.English and Spanish proficiency is required. Portuguese is preferred.
