Weir Minerals Netherlands, is part of the Weir group, spread around production companies and several service centers across the globe. The Weir Minerals Netherlands site in Venlo has about 350 employees working in a production facility as well as in office.

We have an opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Head of SHE to lead our Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) department in Venlo. This role is pivotal in driving our "Zero Harm" safety strategy and fostering a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility across the organization.

Areas of responsibility

Amongst others but not limited to:

Develop and implement comprehensive SHE programs in partnership with the Managing Director.Lead the SHE department, providing guidance and support to team members.Drive the business towards zero harm by raising awareness and engaging leadership, employees, suppliers, and customers.Manage SHE records, administration, databases, and reporting.Coordinate and investigate SHE-related incidents, providing on-site tactical response and crisis management.Conduct SHE audits to ensure compliance with Weir Group SHE policies.Prepare and submit environmental regulatory reports.Develop and deliver effective SHE training programs.Foster positive relationships with the safety committee, department managers, and employees.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in safety and industrial hygiene (Hogere Veiligheidskunde) or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, directly leading SHE.Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.Fluency in Dutch and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical skills and computer literacy.Ability to influence and drive change with senior leaders.
