We’re looking for someone with an established record of sales leadership and revenue generation with a deep interest and passion for online media, music and innovation. You will be responsible for advertising efforts and lead a team of hardworking and consultative sales leaders within a defined region.
We want someone who has a passion for building and growing businesses, developing relationships externally and internally, is well versed in public speaking and engaged within local regions.What You'll DoDefine the Japan sales growth strategy; meet and exceed revenue and targetsHandle sales forecasts accurately, set budgets and goals for the sales teamEngage with key clients on a senior level, and deliver extraordinary consultative customer serviceHire, develop and actively coach sales talent & managers within the region. Analyze, validate and update performance to increase growthImplement/lead/oversee client events, social engagements, and sponsorships based on local market dynamics and broad business knowledgeRepresent the Spotify Brand at client and agency summits through public speaking, panel moderation, and keynotesMaintain high levels of communication and visibility with management, cross-functional teams, and business partners internally and externallyCollaborate with key cross-functional partners, including music & podcasts teams to collectively grow the Spotify business in JapanWho You AreYou have 15+ years of advertising / marketing sales experience including 10+ years in sales leadership which also includes 5+ years of larger staff management in the Japan marketHighly motivated, organized and entrepreneurial, you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and build with the teamYou are an inspiring leader who recognizes the value of working as a team and gets fulfillment from growing othersYou have mastered the fundamentals of sales management and leadership including forecasting, client research, pitch and presentations skills, bottoms up planning, and meeting reportsYou have strong agency & brand relationships, with an existing network of senior level contacts in media and marketingGreat communication, consultative selling, problem solving and negotiating skills and optimally position Spotify's ad solutions through creative storytellingStrategically use data and insights to inform client investment strategyYou have a deep understanding of the digital ecosystem and trends around digital, programmatic, audio & video best practices, opportunities, and challengesUnderstanding and expertise in account and strategic planning, and media buyingWhere You'll BeThis role will be based in Tokyo, JapanWe offer you the flexibility to work where you work best!
