Main Purpose of the Role:
The primary responsibility of the Sales Manager is to lead and oversee the successful execution of sales strategies and operations through an engaged and high-performing sales team. The role ensures alignment with business objectives, builds strong customer and partner relationships, and drives sustainable growth in the assigned market.
1. Business Strategy & Sales Objectives
· Monitor and analyze sales performance in the team, ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives are consistently met or surpassed.
· Track and report on progress toward objectives, identifying opportunities for improvement or realignment as needed.
· Support the senior leadership team to shape and adapt the regional sales strategy and according activities
· Translate the existing business strategy into actionable sales objectives and targets for the team.
· Ensure alignment of sales activities with broader company initiatives, including sustainability, innovation, and digital transformation.
· Monitor local market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to provide insights for strategic decision-making
2. People Management
· Develop new sales team members to build a high-performing team.
· Provide ongoing coaching sessions for team members focussed on our Sales methodology and their objectives
· Conduct regular performance reviews and create personalized development plans.
· Monitor individual performance and provide constructive feedback to ensure growth.
· Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and skill enhancement to strengthen team capability.
· Conduct regular team meetings to share updates, discuss challenges, and celebrate successes.
· Foster a positive and motivating team culture that encourages collaboration and excellence.
· Develop local plans for territory management, ensuring strategic focus on priority accounts and regions in line with the overall aligned & agreed sales strategy
3. Customer/Partner Strategy
· Identify and segment key customers and partners, ensuring tailored approaches to meet their needs and expectations.
· Oversee the execution of account plans, ensuring alignment with sales objectives.
· Serve as the escalation point for high-value or strategic accounts to address challenges and maintain customer satisfaction.
· Build and maintain long-term, productive relationships with key clients
To join our Team, you will need:
· Total years of experience 8-10 Sales experience (similar role) in similar industry or consulting business (technical products/automotive industry).
· 5+ years Strong experience in customer relationship management managing business units.
· Proficiency in Dutch & English, allowing for smooth and professional business communication (required).
· Strong ability to work in a Matrix Organization/environment.
· Experience in people management (min. 5 years).
· Experience in consulting projects and project management.
· A valid Category B driving license.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
