"Pairs" is an online dating app used by more than 20 million people in Japan. Since launch, we have received success stories from over 700,000 people. Pairs is the first-in-market to offer 24/7 in-house customer service, including text and image monitoring, so our users' safety and security are always ensured.
We created Pairs to help singles discover new and interesting ways to find a life partner. In the United States, more than 1 in 3 couples met their partner online. In Japan more than 70 per cent of singles claim to have no partner. As the number 1 online dating service in Japan, we're working hard every day to help singles find their true love. Since the release of Pairs in October 2012, we have helped to create opportunities for many users to find partnership and marriage. Pairs offers the opportunity to find an ideal partner that matches one's own values through various search features and a well-developed MyTag. Everyday, we receive many reports of successful matches from across Japan and from overseas. What You’ll Do:
Drive "Pairs" Product Roadmap and ExecutionTake full ownership of the "Pairs" product roadmap, strategically advancing the product vision through effective collaboration with the leadership team.
Strategic PlanningCollaborate with the CEO to craft short, medium, and long-term product plans, optimizing key performance metrics.
Process ImplementationImplement robust product management processes and best practices, ensuring consistent and efficient delivery of products and features in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Market Analysis and InsightsStay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape and technological advancements, providing valuable insights to shape the future of the product, closely working with Strategy and Consumer Insight teams.
Innovation and CollaborationCollaborate with the Group Tech/Innovation team to leverage cutting-edge capabilities, ensuring "Pairs" remains at the forefront of innovation.
Team Leadership and ScalingLead, mentor, and scale the product team, while strategically addressing hiring needs and optimizing the organizational structure for successful execution.
Cultural ChampionEmbody and promote the company's principles and mission, instilling enthusiasm and dedication to the culture and core values throughout the organization.
User Trust and SafetyAssume responsibility for user safety, both online and offline, overseeing the development of systems and tools to enhance user trust and safety.
Company AlignmentCollaborate closely with senior management to establish and communicate company objectives (OKRs), guiding teams toward the overarching vision.
Global ExpansionLead internationalization efforts, expanding Eureka's offerings to diverse user segments and markets, fostering platform growth.
Professional Qualifications:
Extensive Leadership ExperienceMinimum 10 years of experience managing tech businesses and KPIs, demonstrating a proven track record of driving business growth and transformation.
Product Head Expertise5-10 years of experience in a Product Head role, successfully managing substantial teams and collaborating with cross-functional units.
Global Tech Exposure5-10 years of experience at a global tech company with international presence, showcasing familiarity with diverse markets. APAC exposure experience as a plus.
Scale and InnovationDemonstrated history of leading high-performance product teams that have scaled innovative growth-stage companies.
Team ManagementProven ability to hire, manage, and mentor product, design, Product BI, and customer care teams.
Strategic CollaboratorProficient bridge-builder, capable of contributing strategically while also executing tactically, fostering essential partnerships across teams, functions, and departments.
