Procurement is recognized as a critical function within Leviat to be able to execute the business strategy. The Head of Procurement reporting to the Regional Operations Director, drives the execution of our procurement and sourcing strategy for ES&N region.
Purpose of the role:
This leader will Identify and enable opportunities for cost reductions, cost avoidance and service improvements while providing guidelines and direction to the procurement team to execute procurement tactics to achieve these benefits. The Head of Procurement will build strong and effective relationships both with internal customers, the local/regional category team, and external suppliers to create the framework for the implementation of procurement initiatives and processes.
Key Tasks & responsibilities
•Drives and manages the execution of the defined category strategy on a local level. Works closely with the Local Category Manager and Divisional Procurement team •Identifies and enable opportunities for cost reductions, cost avoidance and service improvements. Provides guidelines and direction to the procurement team to execute procurement tactics to achieve these benefits. •Drive annual budgeted cost savings, margin improvements, and other procurement benefits, using best-in-class procurement techniques •Provides monthly reporting on savings, benefits, key initiatives, and projects through development of an effective Procurement Management dashboard (KPIs) •Connecting procurement and portfolio strategies (make vs buy) to the business strategy •Overall responsible for delivering the procurement category strategy and plans across all channels supported by sourcing strategy, supplier negotiation, selection, and evaluation •Own the supplier relationships and take actions to deliver value through growth •Devise and manage inventory targets that optimize Trade Working Capital (TWC) while achieving service level goals •Responsible for reaching the profitability targets •Identify and interpret results, trends, business and market environment and drive procurement performance •Apply sophisticated procurement principles to realize best cost •Additional duties as assignedKey functional competencies and relevant experience
•Bachelor’s degree required; Business preferable •8+ years of procurement with at least 5 years of people management experience •Experience working with databases, data warehouse applications and/or ERP systems. SAP preferred. •Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required • Languages: Dutch, English and French !!! Single permit for Belgium required.Key leadership competencies
