In this role you will act as a global leader and expert on Data Privacy, promote and shape a culture of privacy, mastering TRT (Thoughtful Risk Taking) and a data subject centric approach. Reporting to our Chief Privacy Officer and group DPO, you will lead a team of Privacy Officers. You will be part of Sanofi Privacy Leadership and US Compliance Leadership team

Main Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a diverse team of Privacy Officers, ensuring they have adequate resources and on-going Privacy and AI expertise and capability to perform their roles;
Chair the Global SpecialtyCare privacy council, consisting of appointed Privacy Champions, Business Process Owners and Risk Owners. Through this council, you will drive the Risk Management and Compliance plan, reporting its status to Executive Leadership through established KPIs;
Drive the design and continuous improvement of Sanofi’s Global and US Privacy standards, ensuring the appropriate balance between compliance and the optimized use of Personal data to generate deeper insights to our Research, Marketing, commercial and medical activities.
Actively monitor North American privacy regulations/enforcements, and implement local adaptations of global procedures when required;
Independently Review Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for high-risk data processing activities; and oversee the resolution of global data breaches, ensuring timely notification to data subjects and Data Protection Authorities.
You will actively partner with Marketing, Commercial, Medical, Digital and Legal teams in ensuring the Global and Regional initiatives you support are compliant with Sanofi Code of Conduct and Privacy regulations, mastering Thoughtful Risk Taking in driving decisions,
You will co-author internal position papers with Legal and Government Affairs, representing Sanofi in industry advocacy efforts with Trade associations, and Data Protection Regulators;
You will drive the effective closure of action plans originating from regulatory inspections and internal audits
About You
Master or PhD in LifeScience; Law or Computer Sciences
Demonstrated experience in working in highly regulated environments, preferably in project and/or compliance management
Demonstrated experience in applying privacy/AI principles and regulations in the US and in Europe (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, AIGP or similar privacy qualification is preferred)
Experience working in an international environment and proven team leadership experience
Solid communication skills and stakeholder management to establish credibility and drive decision making with senior internal stakeholders, balancing authority (executive presence) with solutions orientation.
Advanced advocacy skills with external stakeholders (regulators and industry peers) to influence future regulations and shape Healthcare ecosystem.
Ability to translate how the regulatory, societal and technological changes in collecting and processing personal data impact our core business models to proactively identify long term risk mitigations and opportunity strategies.

The salary range for this position is:
$210,000.00 - $303,333.33All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
