About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a head of paid and organic search optimization who will focus on AI's impacts to the rapidly evolving search landscape. This enterprise role is responsible for developing strategies that account for changing economic models in paid search, organic search, aggregators and affiliates. This position will lead a center of excellence that recommends strategies and tactics that Wells Fargo can use as the industry transitions from purely search engine optimization (SEO) to answer engine optimization (AEO) and as paid search evolves to include players beyond Google/Bing and to appear next to large language model (LLM) generated content.
Key areas of focus include:
- Developing perspectives on the use of AI to further enable efficiency and effectiveness of channels managed within this team for the enterprise.
- Recommending strategies and tactics that Wells Fargo can use as answer engines become increasingly preferred by consumers.
- Partner with enterprise public relations teams to establish effective practices.
- Partner with industry experts to prepare for changing economic models in search, aggregators, and affiliates
- Oversee brand safety considerations specific to the evolution of the search environment
- Oversee horizontal cross-line-of-business customer-focused paid search efforts
- Partner with lines of business to develop multi-year strategies and roadmaps for paid and organic search capabilities

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
