The Role
Reporting to the Site Director, the Head of Operations, Membrane & Natrix Operations is fully responsible for leading operations activities within one of the site's key manufacturing areas. This role is a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for developing and implementing overall strategic direction for the site.
The Head of Operations, Membrane & Natrix Operations is accountable for on-time delivery of quality products to our customers in a cost-efficient and safe way through the development and execution of operating plans within our Cork manufacturing plant across multiple areas and teams including a high-volume process lines and Natrix production.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategic Operations Management: Proven ability to develop and implement production strategies that align with overall business goals, ensuring operational efficiency, scalability, and regulatory compliance.Operational Excellence & Lean Expertise: Strong background in leading operational excellence programs, including Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on reducing waste and improving process efficiency.Cross-Functional Leadership: Strong capability in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on enabling autonomous teams and fostering cross-functional collaboration.Data-driven Decision Making: Experience in driving the adoption of advanced technologies (e.g., automation, digital twins, predictive analytics) to enhance production capabilities, improve efficiency, and maintain competitiveness.Change Management Skills: Strong background in driving organizational change initiatives; while fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience among all teams.Advanced Budgeting and Financial Acumen: Proficiency in developing and managing large-scale Operations budgets, controlling costs, and making strategic financial decisions. (i.e. labor efficiency, Ops Leverage, COGS, Operating Variance, Depreciations, etc.).
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Science, Engineering, or related/equivalent field.Master’s degree in the mentioned fields would be an advantage.Minimum 5-10 years experience within Plant Management, Supply Chain, Operations or relevant strategic function. Track record in progressive leadership roles leading multifunctional teams.Demonstrated change management; ability to define, establish, and complete a strategic and cultural vision by inspiring change across multifunctional teams and the broader organisation
