Head of Marketing BFS

The Head of Marketing will provide strategic direction and execution of global marketing initiatives for GF's Building Flow Solutions portfolio This strategic leadership role is pivotal in enhancing GF's brand presence, accelerating growth, and ensuring that our building flow solutions remain at the forefront of innovation and sustainability in the global market. You will champion customer-centric strategies that connect technology, people, and resources, supporting GF's ambition to lead the building flow solutions sector. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of GF BFS, the position demands a blend of strategic vision, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is considered a HYBRID position with periodic onsite work at our North American headquarters in Apple Valley, MN, Helsinki, Finland or Schaffhausen, Switzerland.

What will you do?

 

Strategic Leadership based on customer needs: Define, develop, and implement comprehensive global marketing strategies for the Building Flow Solutions portfolio, collaborating with business unit leaders, sales, and product management to achieve business objectives across all regions. Ensure alignment with GF's vision to provide innovative, sustainable, and future-proof solutions (application, service, tools, etc.) for the built environment based on customer needs.Brand Stewardship: Ensure consistent, authentic, and compelling brand messaging across all channels and touchpoints, reflecting GF's values, mission, and commitment to our key themes such as sustainability, water hygiene, smarter buildings and green building transformation.Campaign Management: Lead the development and execution of integrated, data-driven marketing campaigns for segments, products, systems, and solutions within the building sector. Ensure campaigns address key industry trends, regulatory requirements, and customer needs, delivering measurable ROI.Content and Thought Leadership: Oversee the creation of high-quality content, such as cross portfolio value propositions, case studies, installation videos, and thought leadership articles, that educates stakeholders on building flow solutions, showcases innovation, and positions GF as an industry expert.Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and direct a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global and regional marketing and sales, category management, digital marketing, and communications teams to align marketing initiatives with commercial goals and ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the building sector value chain.Sales Enablement and commercial insights: Drive sales effectiveness by equipping teams with relevant product, application, and segment knowledge. Develop impactful learning and development materials in collaboration with GF's global academy and sales enablement teams. Tracking target KPI’s and ensuring clear financial targets for marketing investments.Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget for the Building Flow Solutions business, ensuring efficient resource allocation and achievement of financial targets.Market and Customer Insights: Leverage market research, analytics, and emerging trends—such as sustainability, digitalization, and prefabrication—to identify growth opportunities, inform strategy, and optimize performance in a rapidly evolving construction landscape.Digital Excellence: Track and optimize all marketing activities using global digital marketing tools and analytics, driving demand generation and customer engagement through online and offline channels.

 

What will you need?

 

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.7+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing and communications within the building technology, construction, or related sectors.Demonstrated success in developing and executing global marketing strategies and campaigns with measurable business impact.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams.Expertise in digital marketing, data analytics, and leveraging emerging technologies to drive brand and business growth.Fluent in English, with additional languages considered an asset.Willingness to travel internationally (up to 20%).

The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. Internal equity among current employees will also be considered. Please note that this range represents the full base salary wage for the role and hiring at or near the top of the range is uncommon to ensure room for future pay advancement.
