Head of Liquidity Sales EMEA - Asset Management

Role/ Department:

The Asset Management Division of Northern Trust is global leader in multi-asset class solutions with expertise in index, active, quantitative and cash& liquidity capabilities. As well as strong knowledge of sustainable trends and strategies.

We are currently seeking a Head of Liquidity for the EMEA region.

The main areas of focus include:

Lead the EMEA distribution effort within NTAM’s Liquidity group, including setting the strategic vision for the group and managing the sales teamStrategically position NTAM’s offerings to a broad client base; banks, brokers, insurance, corporates, pension funds, hedge funds, universities and endowmentsDevelop new client relationships from direct and indirect investors within EMEA. Support existing relationships where cross-sell opportunities ariseCollaborate with internal NTAM and Bank partners to leverage the best of One NorthernIn collaboration with NTAM Investments and Product teams, identify new opportunities within the space, actively participate in the development of productsWork with intermediary platforms, negotiating terms and conditions on distribution agreements. Coordinating with relevant, internal, stakeholders.Raise Northern Trust´s profile internally and externally.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Set the strategic initiatives for the EMEA Liquidity teamManage the Liquidity sales teamLead the sales effortIdentifies new strategic products and initiatives, collaborate with internal partners to build products and pipelinesMakes sales presentations to clients utilizing knowledge of investment products and services. Lead and organise Due Diligence visits.Collaborate with the wider Northern Trust organisation to cross sell One Northern TrustMaintains knowledge of investment products and services by initiating frequent contact with other financial institutions, partners, industry bodies and keeping abreast of laws and regulations affecting the product and industry.Maintains knowledge of competitors and their products and servicesBe actively involved with NT’s Operations team, helping to resolve issues and help build a better model.

Skills/ Qualifications:

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

Significant knowledge of investment management and primarily Liqudity and Short-Term Fixed Income FundsManagement experienceKnowledge of ESG landscape and trendsExtensive experience within EMEA positioning and selling Cash & Liquidity solutions with a successful track recordAbility to communicate and sell Northern Trust Asset Management products and servicesStrong organisational skillsSelf-motivatedAbility to work under time pressures both individually and as a team memberExperience in providing a high level of service to key clients both reactively and proactively.
