Head of Learning & Enablement - Financial Advisor Services (FAS)

As the Head of Sales Learning & Enablement for our Financial Advisor Services (FAS) business, you will lead the charge in building a world-class learning, process, and performance environment for one of the industry’s most respected advisor sales forces.

This newly created executive role reports to the Principal and Head of Distribution Strategy & Enablement and leads a multi-functional team responsible for:

Seller process and efficiencyContent curation and distribution across sales touchpointsSeller readiness, onboarding, and continuous learningLeadership and execution of learning & development strategySales coaching design and field effectiveness

With over $4 trillion in assets under management across our intermediary channel, Vanguard’s FAS division is already a market leader. We aim to maintain and grow our position by modernizing how we support financial advisors, elevating the experience, process, and expertise of our sales teams, and scaling a digitally enabled, insight-driven distribution model. This role is critical to determining how we do that.

Responsibilities:

Build and Scale: You’ll architect a learning and enablement function that doesn’t just support, but accelerates, our strategic goals across wire, RIA, bank, and independent advisor segments.Lead Transformation: Vanguard is actively investing in content platforms, sales productivity tools, and digital capabilities—this is a chance to integrate those elements into a seamless seller experience.Elevate Talent: Our sales professionals are the face of Vanguard to advisors nationwide. Your leadership will drive how they learn, grow, and lead conversations with conviction and clarity.Shape the Future: As we deepen our advisor partnerships and invest in scalable advice, you’ll help Vanguard deliver on its mission to give investors the best chance for success—through empowered advisors equipped with the best tools, training, and insights.

The Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for an experienced enablement executive who blends strategic vision with operational excellence. You’ve led learning ecosystems in asset management, wealth, or financial advisor services environments and have experience supporting field distribution teams. You understand the needs of a high-performing sales organization and know how to deliver impactful learning, streamline processes, and curate content that resonates.

Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing across product, marketing, distribution, and operations will be critical. 
You will bring: 

10+ years of progressive leadership in sales enablement, learning & development, distribution strategy, or field effectiveness Experience overseeing enablement for advisor-facing distribution teams—including internal/external wholesalers, relationship managers, or platform sales professionals Demonstrated ability to scale enablement from programmatic to strategic—building systems, governance, and field alignment Deep understanding of distribution processes, CRM strategy, sales content, seller segmentation, and advisor engagement best practices Executive presence and change leadership capability, with a track record of navigating complex, matrixed environments A strong belief in empowering people through clarity, coaching, and capability-building
