We’re seeking a deeply technical Kubernetes systems expert to lead the design and evolution of Densify’s Kubernetes-native product, Kubex. The primary focus of this role is to architect versions of Kubex that can be deployed and operated inside our customers’ clusters — ensuring security, resilience, observability, and operational ease across varied enterprise environments.
This role requires strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes internals, controller / webhook patterns, Helm-based deployments, and related infrastructure tools. While familiarity with Densify’s Mutating Admission Controller (MAC) and Densify Automation Director (DAD) is essential, the emphasis is on building robust, customer-deployable product offerings grounded in Kubernetes best practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the architecture and design of customer-deployable Kubex components.Define deployment strategies for secure, scalable, and reliable operation inside customer Kubernetes clusters.Design and manage Helm charts and declarative configurations for multi-environment delivery (on-prem, cloud, hybrid).Contribute directly to the development of Kubernetes-native services: controllers, admission webhooks, and CRDs.Provide technical oversight and architectural guidance to Kubernetes-related development efforts.Understand and support the evolution of MAC and DAD automation components as part of the broader product strategy.Work cross-functionally with Product Management and other Engineering teams to translate customer needs into actionable product features.Participate in architecture reviews, proofs-of-concept, and technical strategy planning.Required Qualifications10+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years in Kubernetes-related engineering roles.Deep expertise in Kubernetes systems programmingand API server interaction:Controllers, operators, admission webhooks, scheduler extensions.Strong experience with CRD design and cluster-side stateful resource management.Proven Helm chart development experience.Solid understanding of Prometheus, custom exporters, and PromQL-based data collection.Proficiency in Go (preferred), Java, or Node.js.Familiarity with GraphQL, REST API design, and messaging systems like RabbitMQ.Clear, concise communicator with strong documentation and collaboration habits.Preferred QualificationsExperience delivering Kubernetes-native enterprise products designed for customer-side installation.Exposure to hybrid or SaaS-plus-customer-deployed delivery models.Familiarity with PostgreSQL, hypertables, or time-series data management.Background working with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent queueing technologies.Open-source contributions in the Kubernetes or CNCF ecosystem.Why Join Densify?Shape the next generation of Kubernetes automation and optimization tools.Solve real-world problems for global enterprise customers.Collaborate with a technically elite team across AI, DevOps, and infrastructure domains.Flexible, remote-first culture focused on innovation and outcomes.Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits.
