Role Overview
This leadership position is accountable for the operational excellence of the IOO function, ensuring that client experience, resiliency, and organizational effectiveness are consistently delivered across all service lines. The successful candidate will guide and empower managers and teams responsible for day-to-day operations, client implementations, and change delivery, while driving alignment with the firm’s culture and long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support & Relationship Management
Ensure clients are fully supported on a day-to-day operational level. Ensure that operational teams are equipped and accountable for delivering high-quality output, with timely resolution of queries and proactive engagement that reinforces trust and satisfaction. The candidate must demonstrate a client-first mindset, anticipating needs and driving timely resolution to maintain high satisfaction.
Client Implementation & Cross-Functional Coordination
Oversee client implementations, ensuring they are appropriately resourced and managed. This includes close collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure seamless onboarding and change execution.
Project & Change Delivery
Lead, manage, and contribute to the successful delivery of IOO client projects, both tactical and strategic. The candidate must be able to drive initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational readiness.
Resiliency & Control Oversight
Champion a strong control environment and operational resiliency by identifying risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring robust governance across all processes. The candidate will be accountable for maintaining business continuity and safeguarding service integrity under all conditions.
People Leadership & Culture
Actively manage and develop staff, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment aligned with the organization’s culture. The candidate will be expected to coach, mentor, and empower team members, driving engagement, accountability, and high performance.
Champion a culture of operational resiliency and control, ensuring that leaders embed risk mitigation, business continuity, and governance practices across all processes.
Actively lead and develop managers and teams, fostering a high-performance environment that reflects the organization’s values. Promote engagement, inclusion, and accountability, ensuring talent is nurtured and aligned with strategic goals.
Candidate Requirements
Proven ability to lead operational teams with a focus on continuous improvement and client impact.Strong project management skills, with experience in cross-functional coordination and stakeholder engagement.Demonstrated capability to identify and resolve service delivery risks proactively.Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence outcomes and foster a culture of accountability.Experience in managing complex client relationships and navigating regulatory or operational change.Deep understanding of control frameworks and resiliency planning within a financial services environment.Strong people leadership skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams and cultivating a positive workplace culture.Proven leadership in operational strategy and client service delivery within financial services.Strong track record of managing cross-functional programs and navigating complex stakeholder environments.Deep understanding of control frameworks, resiliency planning, and regulatory expectations.Inspirational people leader with a commitment to culture, talent development, and organizational alignment.
Knowledge: Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Knowledge of business strategy development is necessary to provide long term planning and to manage the profitability/performance of a major business segment. Leadership and organizational skills are required to direct the activities for the multiple units. Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Experience: A College or University degree and relevant proven work experience is required.
Deep understanding and experience with establishing and or monitoring best practice operations governance concepts and methodologies. Experience building collaborative environments, team-based cultures, and client service mindset.
Preferred X years of proven leadership experience
