We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Group Risk & Insurance Management to lead and develop our global risk and insurance strategies. This is a key role within our Group Treasury function, with responsibility for managing the Group's insurance portfolio, coordinating risk management and loss prevention activities, and overseeing our captive insurance company, ASSA ABLOY Försäkrings AB. The role also plays an active part in the Group Crisis Management Team and provides day-to-day support to our operations around the world. You will join a small, high-performing team that operates globally and provides a unique opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of risk and insurance topics in a complex, decentralized organization.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management: Lead the continued development of the Group’s risk management framework. Work closely with Group and divisional management to assess overall risk exposure and define appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

Insurance Procurement & Strategy: Manage the placement and ongoing evaluation of global insurance programs, ensuring alignment with the Group’s evolving business strategy and risk appetite.

Centre of Excellence: Act as the Group's internal advisor on insurance and risk-related matters. Provide expert support to business units on claims, contract review, risk modelling, new business concepts, M&A activities, and more.

Loss Prevention: Drive the global loss prevention program in close collaboration with our property insurer and divisional Loss Prevention Managers.

Captive Insurance Management: Serve as Managing Director of the Group’s captive insurance company. This includes operational oversight, managing outsourced partners (e.g., compliance, actuarial, audit), regulatory compliance (including contact with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority), and the strategic use of the captive to optimize risk retention.

Your Qualifications

Several years of experience in insurance and risk management—either from an insurance company, broker, or a similar role in a multinational corporation.

Experience advising internal stakeholders in a consultative capacity.

Proven expertise in incident and claims management.

Previous experience managing a captive insurance company is highly desirable.

Familiarity with global loss prevention programs and risk engineering.

Strong communication skills, a structured working style, and the ability to influence across cultures and organizational levels.
