How You Will Make an Impact Reporting to the Head of Global Real Estate and Shared Services, the Head of Facilities Management is responsible for ensuring safe, sustainable, and cost-effective operations of all facility management activities across AIG’s footprint in North America. This position will manage a team of internal resources and vendor services to provide exceptional delivery that meets the needs of our clients and users. Responsibilities: + Strategically develop and implement a comprehensive Facilities Management strategy for North America, ensuring alignment with AIG's business needs, industry best practices, and regional compliance requirements + Proactively engage with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and anticipate future facilities requirements, translating needs into actionable plans and initiatives + Cultivate a high-performance culture within the Facilities Management team, fostering a service-oriented mindset, a sense of urgency, and a commitment to operational excellence + Establish and nurture strategic vendor partnerships, implementing robust vendor management programs to ensure exceptional service delivery, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to SLAs + Direct the establishment, management, and continuous enhancement of SOPs and processes, driving standardization and efficiency across all facilities functions + Oversee comprehensive compliance programs, including Fire and Life Safety (FLS) and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE), to ensure strict adherence to all regional, local, and site-specific regulations and standards + Define, track, and report on KPIs to measure the effectiveness of facilities programs, including vendor service levels, operational efficiency, cost management, and occupant satisfaction + Collaborate closely with Finance to develop, manage, and forecast the facilities budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational financial goals + Provide strategic communication of Facilities Management updates, proactively informing and aligning Leadership on key initiatives, performance metrics, and potential risks or opportunities What we are looking for: + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Facilities Management, Maintenance, Operations, or Engineering, with a proven track record of managing multi-site portfolios within a large corporate environment + Deep technical expertise in facility operations, infrastructure, engineering principles, and building management systems + Demonstrated ability to strategically balance budgetary constraints with the delivery of high-quality, timely, and impactful facilities programs + Exceptional time management and organizational skills, coupled with the presence of mind to proactively identify and escalate critical issues to senior leadership when necessary + Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, including multi-disciplinary senior executives + Demonstrated ability to foster strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across all levels of the organization and cultivate effective partnerships with external vendors and agencies + A self-starter with a distinguished history of building, motivating, and leading high-performing teams, both internal staff and external vendors, to deliver exceptional facilities programs with strong project management skills + Comprehensive knowledge of business services and systems, including experience in developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures related to facilities management + In-depth understanding and experience with compliance programs including FLS and HSE regulations and standards, ensuring strict adherence to all regional, local, and site-specific requirements At AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
