Head of ETRM Systems

Insight Global is looking for a Head of ETRM Systems to join a large North American power generation company, working 3 days a week on-site in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership, performance, and continuous improvement of all systems supporting the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) business processes. This role oversees the technical and functional support, maintenance, and enhancement of applications supporting Commodity Portfolio Management, Risk and Credit, Settlements, Complex Accounting, Compliance, Legal, and Managed Portfolios & Offsets (MP&O).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and evolve the ETRM Applications Support organization, aligning technical services with business priorities.
- Oversee end-to-end support for specialized commodity lifecycle processes from transaction origination through to settlement.
- Drive the enhancement and operational stability of core
-ETRM systems including Commercial Reporting, Risk, Credit, Legal, and MP&O platforms.
- Provide strategic leadership to a cross-functional team of Business Analysts and IT professionals; report directly to the CIO.
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of business-critical applications through robust support, maintenance, and governance practices.
- Define and track key performance indicators for service delivery, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain an optimized organizational structure with clear accountabilities, fostering a culture of innovation, safety, discipline, and high performance.
