What you'll do
As Head of Delivery for In-Store Technology, you will be accountable for orchestrating the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives across our Point-of-Sale (POS), in-store devices, digital media, and customer-facing applications, and more. You will work closely with senior engineering leaders, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure that delivery outcomes align with strategic priorities and deliver measurable value to our stores and customers.

As the Head of Delivery Management for Sainsbury's Tech, you are a highly experienced and strategic leader with a deep understanding of agile values and software engineering approaches. With a proven track record in delivering technical programmes at scale within an agile and product context, you possess strong influencing skills and the ability to communicate effectively at board level. Your expertise in technology and software delivery, combined with your experience in leading teams, enables you to coordinate and manage the delivery of complex outcomes across multiple engineering teams. As a trusted partner to directors and senior heads, you navigate complexity, manage risks and dependencies, and drive the prioritisation of business outcomes. Your strong leadership skills and ability to work within a matrix structure make you adept at driving value early and often while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
