Head of Creative Production
What does a Head of Creative Production do at Hogarth?
The Head of Creative Production provides leadership, strategic direction, and creative inspiration to a dynamic team of creative content and production experts. This role is responsible for overseeing all creative operations, ensuring the highest standards of creative excellence, and driving innovative solutions for our clients. The Head of Creative Production will act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and understanding their needs to deliver impactful and culturally relevant creative solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of the local market, its cultural nuances, and the evolving media landscape. The Head of Creative Production will also be responsible for staff supervision, work production, and contributing to new business efforts and exploring and implementing AI-driven solutions within creative projects.
Duties:
Creative Leadership & Vision:
Set an inspirational creative vision and maintain high standards for a fast-paced and evolving business, tailored to the local market. Champion a "thinker/maker" culture, bridging the gap between creative ideation and flawless execution. Drive creative development initiatives, offering proactive creative strategies to various lines of business. Oversee the creative process, ensuring the highest quality of creative craft, innovation, and impact. Act as the final arbiter of creative excellence for the design teams. Identify and champion opportunities to integrate AI tools and technologies into creative workflows to enhance efficiency, personalization, and overall creative output.Client Relationship & Brand Guardianship:
Act as a "brand guardian," ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to across a global platform, with a deep understanding of variations for different products and target audiences, especially within the local context. Present creative work to clients, effectively "selling in" executions and building strong, lasting relationships. Ensure all client-facing materials (correspondence, presentations, proposals, etc.) are of the highest quality and relevant to the client's specific needs and challenges.Team Management & Development:
Oversee, energize, and inspire the creative department/studio. Must be both an empathic and inclusive leader, who values diverse thinking. Act as an inspirational leader for the team and internal/external partners (including client/strategy leaders, Agency creatives, etc.). Ensure and maintain cross-discipline expertise by mentoring generalists and specialists alike; break down silos and foster collaboration and a sense of community within the creative staff. Seek out and identify opportunities for the team's creative growth and provide ongoing performance evaluations addressing creative quality, client development and profitability, collaboration with other creative leads, and staff development. Assist Creative Directors and Design Directors in identifying new talent; partner with HR and Finance on hiring approval. Encourage and facilitate training and development opportunities for the creative team to enhance their understanding and application of AI tools and techniques.Operational Excellence:
Look to streamline and innovate processes and product to continually improve our creative offering. Drive for results by monitoring creative studio utilization, maintaining high utilization, and ensuring profitability. Partner effectively with all departments to ensure the delivery of on-time, high-quality deliverables that address all challenges.New Business & Market Awareness:
Continually drive growth and new business opportunities. Responsible for projecting Hogarth's image as a creative center of excellence through participation and success in internal and external awards programs. Maintain a strong understanding and awareness of the local market aesthetic and culture. Understand data-led modular activity. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and its potential applications within the creative industry, particularly within the local market.Requirements:
15+ years of experience in a leadership role mentoring talent in an agency environment; a few of those years as a Creative Director is ideal. Proven experience leading large, digital, and integrated cross-channel campaigns. Proven digital storyteller with the ability to understand and articulate a point of view on the distinction between good and great work. World-class knowledge of creative production and execution of global campaigns, with specific experience in the local market. Excellent written/verbal communication & strong presentation skills, in both English and Spanish. Portfolio showcasing conceptual and executed work. Samples should include a mix of TV, Digital Innovation, and Traditional campaigns or creative content, with examples relevant to the local consumer. Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams on multiple projects. Possess exceptional client-facing experience with major global brands, and a proven ability to build strong relationships with clients in the region. Successful experience leading concept and execution of digital and print projects across a portfolio of high-profile brands. Proven impact as an Art Director in a global organization. Ability to partner effectively with multiple stakeholders in a global setting. Experience leading a team within an environment with fast-turnaround times. A “hands-on” leadership approach and a willingness to “do the work.” Demonstrated understanding of AI principles and their potential applications in creative content development and production. Experience with AI-powered creative tools and platforms is a plus.Skills:
