Head of Controlling - Animal Health ANZ
**The Position** Reporting to the Head of Finance & Administration ANZ an exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Head of Controlling, Animal Health ANZ to come and join our high performing team. We are looking for an emerging leader, a motivated individual with an innovative spirit who can support the animal health business to achieve our ambition, challenging the status quo and improving our current processes. Your role as the Head of Controlling, AH ANZ will be to provide the business with financial assessment regarding the business's strategic direction and identify potential issues, in both the short and long term while maintaining and utilising a high-level knowledge and awareness of trends within commercial and industry arenas, utilizing insights for the benefit of the business/division. An important part of this role is you will be tasked to understand and clearly articulate business financials, including presenting complex situations in a simple manner that creates clarity and understanding for others. **Tasks & Responsibilities** + Act as financial business partner for the animal health business: + Advise business on financial impact for initiatives (e.g., pricing, product launches) + Liaise regularly with AH management to inform of key issues. + Manage financial planning processes for the animal health business: + Coordinate Outlook and LTF processes meeting corporate timelines. + Ensure all financial planning data is accurately recorded in local & corporate systems. + Manage internal reporting activities: + Deliver month end close activities. + Prepare income statements & provide input to BU review presentations. + Provide analysis of income statement development + Provide input to month end accruals & provisions as required. + Review monthly results and advise SFA of any adjustments required. + Provide monthly analysis and comments to the business. + Participate in monthly business reviews with regional management. + Support external reporting activities: + Deliver year end close activities and support preparation of local statutory accounts in alignment with local Central Finance. + Support transfer pricing analysis and business segmentation in alignment with local Central Finance. + Engage with Regional Operating Unit stakeholders sharing information and supporting initiatives in alignment with local needs. + Participate in Finance and X-functional projects as required. **Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree / master’s degree in business administration or equivalent + Qualified CPA/CA + Extensive experience as commercial / business controller/ FP&A + Minimum 8 years of corporate experience + Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. + Experience in managing people. + Exceptional communication and people skills. + Ability to influence different stakeholders and build relationships. + Strong business acumen + Data analytic skills + Exposure to international assignments is desired. + Exposure to FMCG (preferred) + Knowledge about the pharmaceutical industry. **Why Boehringer Ingelheim?** Our workplace is a creative and dynamic place to be – with the future always on our minds.
