Job Title: Head of Contracts

Job Purpose
The Head of Contracts is responsible for overseeing the contract management framework across all Major Projects and Venture Groups. This includes supporting project teams in implementing robust contracting processes, formulating and administering ITT packages, managing EPC contracts, and ensuring effective contract execution throughout the project lifecycle. The role also ensures alignment with technical, commercial, and legal requirements, contributing to successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the administration of framework agreements across Major Projects, including contractor performance assessments. Oversee all contracting activities in coordination with PMT, including issuing ITTs and executing EPC contracts, ensuring alignment with Legal and other internal stakeholders. Support the development of ITT packages and manage the tendering process in coordination with Supply and Legal. Provide input in bid evaluations and recommend acceptable contractual terms and conditions to PMT and Senior Project Manager. Guide and assist PMTs in monitoring contract securities such as bonds and guarantees, and prepare contract amendments when required. Lead the contract close-out process after project team demobilization. Review and negotiate EPC Contractor change requests, ensuring alignment with project goals and budget. Operate in a high-stakes project environment involving significant capital investments and stringent timelines. Adapt to a continuously evolving business landscape marked by frequent project expansion and added complexity. Maintain high standards in safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance under pressure, demonstrating multitasking, initiative, and precision.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Science, or Engineering. Experience: Minimum 10 years in contract management, preferably within the oil and gas sector. Exposure to business and risk management, project controls, tendering, and cost/schedule planning. At least 2 years in a supervisory role managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. Skills: Strong command of English (spoken and written). Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills. Proficient in negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management. Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
