Head of Commercial Production Services

As Head of Production Services, you will assume the overall delivery ownership of the Commercial production applications with a focus on improving quality and reliability of services, by standardizing processes and implementing best practices. Reporting to the CIO Commercial Insurance, you will play a crucial role in managing the service delivery management, providing overall governance on managed services, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are consistently met and leading the team toward delivery excellence.  Production monitoring, incident, problem and change management, root cause analysis and resolution tracking are critical components of ownership. 

This role requires strong technical and leadership skills. In addition to building a high-performing digital team, the selected individual will manage business and operations expectations, provide transparency and continuously improve the resiliency of our production environments. 

In this role, you will:

Work with architects, development teams, information security and infrastructure teams document, maintain and manage the production environment Work closely with business and operations teams to build close relationships, provide transparency and manage communication to executives and stakeholders Participate in release management and manage the production intake tollgate to ensure stability and maintainability Adhere to and enforce all company development, risk and operational strategies and policies Effectively plan and manage resources to drive operational consistency Communicate effectively with internal employees at all levels and with vendors and external clients Integrate closely with clients and vendors to ensure the smooth transition of projects from development to support by the implementation date Established reputation for building relationships with senior leaders in a large, complex  organization and effectively leverage those relationships to engage/influence outcomes  Ability to manage multiple initiatives at one in a dynamic environment Ability to identify and track project/program issues and facilitate the resolution of those issues Anticipate service requirements, managing the allocation of resources and staff to minimize service disruptions and ensure services are delivered within budget 15+ years of technology and production services experience of progressively increased responsibility Established reputation for building relationships with senior leaders in a large, complex organization and effectively leveraging those relationships to engage/influence outcomes Strong analytical skills with an ability to provide thoughtful impact analysis Willingness to take on challenging tasks of varying levels of ambiguity with the ability to change directions and adapt to conflicting priorities and changing business decisions Experience applying Stakeholder/Communications Mgmt. principles including governing bodies/ Owners/Sponsors/key senior stakeholders/Project Lead/team/SME's ITIL v3/4 Foundations / Six Sigma certified - Understanding of digital technologies Proven organizational skills and a focused attention to detail Experience in both ServiceNow / Jira - Exposure / Experience working with wide array of technologies both Mainframe & Distributed Exposure to a wide variety of management techniques including Scrum, Kanban, and/or Waterfall

 

The pay range for the role is $242,000 to $280,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
