The position

 

As the Head of Clinical Therapeutic Area at Novo Nordisk Denmark, you will take a leading role in the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of clinical trial delivery across multiple countries. You will guide a dedicated team and collaborate with stakeholders across functions and regions to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and innovation in clinical development.

Your responsibilities will be to:

Lead strategic planning and execution of clinical trials within your therapeutic area, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery across Denmark and Adjacent Affiliates Oversee the TA team’s performance, resources, and development, while fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous learning Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders across Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and HQ functions to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing Drive trial delivery improvements through innovation, risk management, and streamlined processes within the CDC DK framework Represent the TA unit in leadership forums, contribute to regional/global initiatives, and strengthen Novo Nordisk’s presence in clinical research communities

Lead and be the role model of your team regarding positive behaviour, agility and willingness to dare to make decisions in an ever-changing environment

Qualifications

 

We are looking for a leader with the following skills and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in science or other relevant experience/education Minimum 3–5 years of experience in clinical trial management with a proven leadership record, ideally in a global or multi-country setting Excellent in stakeholder engagement, strong strategy acumen, and cross-functional collaboration in a regulated environment Deep understanding of clinical trial regulations (ICH GCP), drug development, and quality compliance Strong interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead through change and inspire high-performing teams

 

About the department

 

You will be part of the Clinical Development Centre Denmark (CDC DK) in the Danish Affiliate of Novo Nordisk Denmark. CDC DK is a vital hub for delivering trials across Denmark and 7 other Adjacent Affiliates (Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden.). The CDC is home to experienced clinical professionals committed to advancing therapies and strengthening Novo Nordisk’s pipeline.
