The Opportunity:

Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team. Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands Avantor’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status. Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas. Project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products. Manages a large team within a complex discipline or department, comprised of intermediate/experienced professionals

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: University degree in Biological science/Biochemical/Bioengineering or general life science or relevant field

EXPERIENCE: At least 10 years of Sales experience in Bioprocessing and at least 6 years Sales Management experience in Pharma or BioPharma business with a demonstrated track record of success and increasing responsibility.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in the purification team of biopharmaceutical industry, scientific research institute, academic labs or related organizations would be a plus

HOW YOU WILL THRIVE AND CREATE AN IMPACT:

Develop growth strategies for the whole China through managing the teams of BPS sales, key account management, Business development and inside sales.Develop and implement sales strategy for business growth.Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales target for the sales team.Set clear and measurable performance expectations and KPI for sales personnel.Responsible for managing all existing customers and channel distributors.Provide support and leadership in training and coaching direct reports on selling skills, products, including time & territory management.Conduct regular sales meeting to track the sales progress and forecast.Responsible for deploying resources as necessary to attain objectives.Analyse competitor and market forces and develops plans to achieve sales and profit goals.Direct contact with key customers to develop customer relationships, negotiate agreements.Work closely with various core functional groups within Avantor (including Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, Application Lab etc.) to formulate and direct an effective team strategy to ensure business needs.Performs other duties as assigned.
