The Head of Automotive for Digital Industries Automation is a pivotal role at Siemens, focused on transforming how products in the automotive sector are manufactured, and optimized, moving towards adaptive and autonomous production. This role empowers U.S. automotive customers to rethink their products and production strategies for greater agility, efficiency, and innovation. You’ll make an impact by:• Lead and empower cross-functional sales teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance to consistently deliver exceptional business outcomes.• Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans that drive measurable increases in revenue, market share, and profitability across the automotive segment.• Lead strategic market intelligence efforts to anticipate industry trends, threats, and opportunities, translating insights into forward-looking product strategies and portfolio positioning that align with evolving customer needs.• Provide thought leadership with a strong end-user focus, ensuring that customer needs and value chains are central to all strategic initiatives.• Build and nurture strong relationships with automotive customers and regional sales, marketing, and execution teams to translate customer insights into clear, actionable business requirements.• Collaborate with go-to-market and global business line teams to align execution with strategic goals, supported by robust financial monitoring of KPIs such as order intake, revenue, and profit.• Lead opportunity assessments and stakeholder coordination to evaluate and prioritize growth initiatives within the automotive market.• Direct marketing, research, and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with customer value drivers and competitive positioning.• Partner with business unit and functional leaders to ensure cohesive strategy development and execution across the organization.Qualifications: • Extensive Sales Leadership: Over 10 years of experience leading large, high-performing sales teams.• Industry-Specific Sales Expertise: 5+ years of direct sales experience in IT/OT solutions tailored to the automotive sector.• Market Opportunity & Solution Development: Proven success in identifying opportunities in the automotive market and turning them into commercial solutions.• Strategic Marketing Leadership: Deep understanding of marketing strategy, with a strong record of driving measurable results through targeted campaigns in the automotive industry.• Executive-Level Influence: Skilled in leadership, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration, with strong communication abilities.• Data-Driven Strategy: Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and use analytics to shape effective business strategies.• Customer-Focused Execution: Consistently delivers results in challenging and dynamic customer environments.• Team Development & Coaching: Committed to growth, continuous learning, and empowering teams through coaching and mentorship.• Decisive Leadership: Confident in setting strategic direction and making impactful decisions on critical business issues.The preferred location for this role is Michigan (working 1-2 days in office), but it may be open to remote with up to 50% travel to client sites.You’ll benefit from: • Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
