The Head of Americas Real Estate will lead the planning, acquisition, development, management and optimization of the company’s Americas real estate portfolio. The role will ensure that real estate initiatives support the company’s business objectives, operational efficiency and financial performance.
The role will be responsible for the following specific areas, including, but not limited to:
Leading a team of real estate, facilities and project management professionalsCollaborate with senior leaders across business units to support expansion, consolidation, and relocation needsBuild strong relationships with brokers, landlords, developers and public agenciesDelivering innovation in methods, tools and processesAnalyzing industry trends and evolving technology to proactively provide world-class workplace servicesThe Head of Americas Real Estate responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee site selection, market analysis and portfolio optimization to maximize operational efficiency and ROIProvide leadership in property acquisition, leasing, divestment and capital investment decisionsManage a diverse portfolio of owned and leased properties across the AmericasEnsure compliance with local regulations and corporate policiesDevelop and manage annual budgets for real estate and facilitiesIdentify and mitigate real estate related risks and exposuresPartner with business leaders to create innovative, employee-centric workplace environmentsDevelop and consistently deliver an effective and clear communications program regarding real estate programs/processes to global and specific employee audiences on an ongoing, proactive basisProvide senior leadership with a regular analysis, insight and recommendations on real estate matters including conducting regular external benchmarking analysis and comparisons of real estate programsA minimum of 15 years of professional experience, in progressively responsible real estate roles, ultimately leading the function with a multi-country portfolio, including direct and matrixed people management, with a demonstrable track record of organizational achievements
Demonstrated track record in large-scale transactions, global lease negotiations and delivery of capital projectsStrong team player with the ability to collaborate and influence business, as well as functional partnersAbility to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentExcellent negotiation and communication skillsStrategic mindset with strong financial acumen and problem-solving skillsDeep knowledge of industry and global trends and workplace strategyExceptionally self-motivated and directedCompany platform experience: experience in a global, publicly traded, Fortune 500 company, financial services background desirableEducation: a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in business administration; a master’s degree in a related field and/or a Master of Business Administration is highly preferred
