We are looking for a Head of Accounting for Siemens Mobility ASP (Asia Pacific | Australia, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand).
In your new role, you will act as a trusted Business Partner for Siemens Mobility Asia Pacific, providing financial information that enables Siemens Mobility ASP to offer products and services that maximize customer impact. You will guide a team that supports the Siemens Mobility business in ASP in all accounting and reporting questions and assures correctness of books & records together with partners in the business. You will be part of the global worldwide CF R Accounting organization, specifically being responsible for Mobility Project Business of Siemens in ASP. You will be part of the global Mobility Accounting leadership team as well as the regional SMO ASP leadership team. You will strongly collaborate with the business, the Accounting Headquarters and other CF R departments.
Detailed description of role:
Lead the accounting team for Siemens Mobility Asia Pacific (CF R 7 3 ASP) with ~7 team members, including team performance management and budget responsibility Ensure the implementation of all relevant accounting policies, guidelines and standards, and oversee their application Ensure the completeness and correctness of books and records as well as timely regular closing activities for all assigned organizational units in compliance with relevant controls and processes You will be responsible for managing our transaction accounting service providers and processes. You will partner with our various teams to do upfront consultations on new deals and provide support with complex contract reviews to ensure compliance with IFRS Act as key contact to Siemens Mobility leadership in ASP (SMO CFO, BU CFOs, Performance Controller, Commercial Project Managers), providing advice for complex accounting topics, non-routine transactions and new business models. Align with different stakeholders (e.g., CF R 7 3 HQ, SMO FPM) as applicable Perform accounting and regulatory reporting in accordance with global (IFRS) and local requirements. Prepare local (audited) Financial Statements Act as interface to internal and external partners like Treasury, FPM, GBS and the external auditor PwC Contribute to M&A transactions (integration of newly acquired companies, supporting divestments), as applicable Identify process improvement potentials in accounting processes and drive digitalization as well as process automationWhat you need to make real what matters
Holds at least a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent Over 10 years of experience in accounting, including interaction and liaison with external auditors and statutory authorities Ideally, you are a Chartered Public Accountant or possess comparable qualification and have a detailed knowledge regarding business closing and reporting process (including FC and budget process) Alternatively, you have longtime Siemens internal leadership experience in Commercial Project Management for large projects within Siemens, including a solid understanding of the accounting for such projects – then this is a perfect chance to change perspective and grow your personal portfolio. Over 5 years of experience in leading a team Excellent interpersonal savvy and executive presence, including written and verbal communication skills; leadership ability to challenge and explain sophisticated accounting topics and financial results to senior leadership.
