About Our Home: St David's is a welcoming nursing home located in Ealing and known for its quality care. The facility features 76 bedrooms and offers a range of services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation, and provides respite and day care for individuals over the age of 18. This role is for full time Head Housekeeper to join our team. JOB SUMMARY The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the Domestic Staff maintain the cleaning and hygienic standards of the Home. He/She will keep a high standard of appearance to contribute to the quality of care and lifestyle afforded to each client. This is particularly applicable to each client's privacy and dignity and in respect of each client's personal possessions. The key role would be to maintain the cleanliness of the Home to a very high standard. By organising the Domestic Staff is such a way to achieve the high standard provided by the Home. Ensure that all rooms that are vacated are thoroughly cleaned according to cleaning schedule. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Ensuring that all records relating to housekeeping including cleaning schedules are completed daily 2. Organising Domestic Staff with the daily duties which includes: - 3. The vacuuming of rooms and corridors and emptying all waste bins 4. Cleaning the glass and mirrors 5. Dusting 6. Sweeping and mopping floor surfaces 7. Cleaning the bathrooms and toilets, with particular attention to guidelines for the control of germs and infestation 8. Clean areas as assigned 9. To clean all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment 10. Ensure that rooms are odour free 11. To be aware of the health and safety statement of the COSHH statement. 12. To report any malfunction of equipment or fittings that require maintenance or cannot be kept to standard through normal cleaning procedures 13. To report any cleaning materials that need replacing to the appropriate person 14. Keep your cleaning area and space clean and tidy at all times and your cleaning materials safely stored 15. To deal with the waste bags and their prescribed disposal 16. Be familiar with the required care standards regulations governing your job including infection control Tasks and responsibilities within your area of capability may vary occasionally depending upon the needs of the business.
