Your role: Head for Laboratory Diagnostic Service / MEA 

 

Your expertise: 

 

Come and join our team! We are looking for a manager who will be responsible for our Customer Service (CS) within the Laboratory Solutions (LS) in the Middle East South Africa (we call it the MEA zone – see list of abbreviations at the end). 

  

You will be accountable for ensuring best in class, customer centric, industry leading and economical LS service within the MEA zone. Bringing in all your expertise, you will manage the service organization in the MEA countries supported by country service managers, CS Portfolio/CRM manager, Project Manager and Education & Training Manager reporting to you.  

You are a partner for Zone Business and Financial Leads in regard to retain/win new business and highlight the value of services. You act as a leader when driving our digitalization business, our DX CS-LS strategy and when supporting the DX CS-LS country managers within MEA to achieve the financial and operational targets. Furthermore, you are responsible for customer training including a training academy and a successful partnership with our Service Business Partners in related countries.  

  

Reporting to the DX CS-LS EMEA manager, you will also interact with our DX CS-LS EMEA management team to report on status, discuss new initiatives and strategies, and deal with escalations to headquarters in USA. Partnering / best practice sharing with your peers in the other zones/global is of course self-evident. 

A key focus area that you will be responsible for is operational excellence, cost and work optimization, customer as well as employee experience/satisfaction and you will have to find best practices and implement those that apply in MEA. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

 

Drive our CS-LS strategy 

Set financial and operational targets for all countries in the MEA zone in alignment with the CS-LS EMEA Region Head and CS-LS EMEA MEA country managers 

Represent CS-LS EMEA MEA towards CS-LS EMEA Management and Headquarter 

Track progress on targets and report to MEA and EMEA management 

Align with and coach CS-LS EMEA MEA country managers in the zone on operational and organizational topics 

Support the zone business management and participate in the MEA DX management meetings as representative for Customer Service  

Coordinate and select Headquarter and zone-specific improvement initiatives with necessary input from Zone Management. 

 

Qualifications, experience, and skills 

 

Min of 3 years Longstanding leadership experience within an operational service organization with personnel responsibility are a fundamental prerequisite, management of manager skills/experience are highly welcome 

Business experience to drive further business, customer and employee experience/satisfaction are a fundamental prerequisite  

Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English is a must, Arabic language skills are highly welcome 

Communication and negotiation skills are a fundamental prerequisite 

Residence in one of the MEA countries is required, Dubai is desirable 

Experience from an international organization/matrixed organization would be an advantage, but not a requirement 

Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team-player in highly diverse teams (local and global) are assumed 

Ability to make decisions and implement necessary action plans are assumed
