Micron’s DRAM or equivalent experience in our Emerging Memory Group (DEG) is a distributed team of engineers and innovators committed to reshaping memory technology. The group designs sophisticated memory products that power applications ranging from virtual reality to neural networks, with a strong commitment to integrity, sustainability, and community impact.

Position Overview

As an HBM Memory Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing digital and analog circuits for high-performance memory products. You’ll collaborate with global development and validation teams to build DRAM circuits and support multi-functional initiatives to ensure manufacturability, performance, and reliability. This position allows you to be part of the team crafting modern HBM solutions for AI, HPC, and data-centric systems.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, layout, and optimize Memory, Logic, and Analog circuits for HBM productsPerform parasitic modeling, design validation, and tape-out revisionsCollaborate with layout teams on floorplanning, placement, and routingSimulate and verify designs using industry-standard tools (e.g., FineSim, HSPICE)Maintain technical expertise through continuous training and cross-group communicationPartner with Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly, and MarketingEngage with CAD, modeling, and verification teams to ensure design qualityDrive innovation for future memory generations in a dynamic work environmentMinimum QualificationsBasic knowledge of CMOS circuit design and device physicsFamiliarity with schematic entry and simulation using FineSim and/or HSPICEUnderstanding of power network analysis and state machine logicExperience with Verilog modeling and simulation toolsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective communication skills for multi-functional collaborationExperience with scripting languages (Python, TCL, Perl, etc.)Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with DRAM memory concepts and SoC/IO interfacesAbility to convey sophisticated technical concepts clearly in verbal and written formEnthusiastic standout colleague with a proactive approachExperience working in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment
