Hawaii Water Market Practice Leader
Jacobs
We’re seeking a Hawaii Water Market Practice Leader to support delivering world-class water and wastewater services for our municipal and private sector clients in Hawaii.
As a Hawaii Water Market Practice Leader, you will work in collaboration with our Hawaii leadership team, Northwest Water Market Growth Director, and Water Market Director of Operations to develop and implement a water market growth strategy for Hawaii. This effort includes retaining and building a team of engineers and planners to deliver our clients’ most challenging water and wastewater projects and to foster the growth of our Hawaii water team. You will also be responsible for understanding the unique trends in the market and using that knowledge to work with our team to create technical differentiation from that of our competitors while serving as an important conduit between our Global Market Solutions (technology) Leaders, Northwest Sales Leaders, and Operations (delivery) leadership and practice staff in our Water Business Unit.
We’ll also rely on you to lead and support business development activities with key clients resulting in acquisition of new projects as well as perform the role of Project Manager supporting various projects and programs within a defined client portfolio. You’ll effectively lead and manage project teams throughout all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout; consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in each contract.
As a key member, you’ll have the chance to work on challenging projects as the Project Manager and Technical Lead - planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects with high degrees of technical complexity from (but not limited to) the concept stage through detailed design, construction services, and commissioning. Among the many types of projects led by this team are pipelines, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and water resources infrastructure. You will be leading a multidiscipline team to complete tasks within established schedules and budgets and help advance our business development strategies. Also, you will have the opportunity to mentor and coach early and mid-career engineers and designers and be mentored by senior staff. Nurturing your existing and developing new relationships, you will help to identify new opportunities in which Jacobs Hawaii can further service our clients and communities.
Using your technical expertise, you’ll play an integral role in leading and mentoring staff, forming long-term relationships with clients and pursuing new work, including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts. At Jacobs, we’re partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates. By joining Jacobs, you’ll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.
Join us and we will assist in continuing the development of your skills and exploring all that you can do locally and across our global company, with opportunities to share your knowledge along the way.
Our commitment to you:
