We are seeking candidates who take pride in driving and sustaining product development through manufacturing. As an Arista Electrical Test Engineer, you will engage with Engineering, Platform Design, CM Partners, and other business functions. You will get an opportunity to work with some of the smartest engineering and technical leaders in the industry.
What You’ll Do
Perform System level Hardware DVT (EDVT) , Power measurements, Component (Memory, PSU, optics) validationsDevelop and execute system and component-level test plans and work closely with HW/SW design team to debug design failuresDevelop and execute Python test scripts to perform EDVT and Failure AnalysisSupport multi-tasking validation projects (4-5 at the same time)Closely interface/engage with cross-functional product teams (HW, SW, NPIE, MFG, PM) to address any EDVT dependencies to meet the project milestonesQualifications5+ years of experience in Electrical Design Verification Testing (EDVT)Good understanding of fundamentals of electrical engineering, programing, and networking technologiesPrior experience in system level testing using liquid cooling technology is plusPrior experience in modular and rack level system testing is mustExcellent knowledge of complex system level debugging and root cause analysisExperience with IEEE 802.3 C2M spec and test methodologyStrong understanding of electrical eye diagrams for NRZ and Pam4 signalingHands on capability to design and implement EDVT characterization tests with solid understanding of hardware design and manufacturing test parametersExperience in Python, TCL/C/C++/shell scripting with preferred experience in PythonExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to work well on a team and self-driven to work independently.Able to handle moving the systems of 20lb to 50lb around the lab and chambersThis role requires min 3 days of work/week from HQ in Santa ClaraAnalytic mindset to debug and root cause issues found during testingCompensation Information
The new hire base pay for this role has a pay range of $120,000 to $145,000.
Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.
The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection.
