Hardware Test Engineer - Mixed Signal and Embedded Electronics (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Hardware Test Engineer (m/f/d) to join our the Embedded Electronics department part of our Innovation Team!


In this role, you will be responsible for:

Evaluateing the hardware requirements, schematics, and PCB layout to define automated test cases for: Development / Prototype tests Type / Certification tests Routine / Production tests Defining acceptance criteria and measurement limits Developing test interfaces in collaboration with the hardware design team Creating test setups for automated test using lab instrumentation Developing test jigs for after production tests Developing automation scriptsConducting functional integration testsDevelop software / firmware to interact with the systemPlanning and following the certification process according to the railway standard EN50155: TemperatureEMI/EMCShock and VibrationInsulationWriting technical documentation: Test Instructions and Test Reports Evaluating testing effort and define tasks according to the project scheduleReporting and coordinating tasks with the project manager and head of developmentSupporting team members

We’re looking for someone who has:

 A degree in Electronics Engineering5 years of experience in automated hardware testingStrong hardware debug skillsExperience with laboratory instrumentation (Oscilloscope, Source Meter, GPIO, Relays, Logic Analyzer, Frequency Generator and Counter, etc.)Knowledge in test automation using Python or other text-based programming languageStrong knowledge of analog circuits (Op-Amps, PLL, ADC and DAC converters, etc.)Knowledge of Power ElectronicsExperience with microcontrollers and FPGA testingExperience with standard serial interfaces (I2C, SPI, JTAG)Knowledge of embedded programming languages (Assembly, C/C++, MicroPython)Soldering capabilitiesFluent English speaker, German knowledge would be a plus
