Job Requirements

The HiTL Simulator Engineer is a crucial position at Quest Global, with a direct effect on our team members, and our customer.  The qualified Electrical/Software Engineer needs to be capable of working independently and with others, to create, modify, document, and provide support to the customer’s software engineering test operations. The HiTL Simulator Engineer will work with other Quest Global engineers and the customer’s engineers, management, and technicians to provide solutions to new product testing and existing test simulators to help support 24/7 operations.

Work Experience
Job FunctionsYou will need to be able to Develop Matlab /Simulink Plant Models to support Hardware in The Loop (HITL) simulatorsYou will need to be able to Provide electrical test support for locomotive HITL simulatorsYou will need to be able to Read electrical schematics to determine what circuits or components need testedYou will need to be able to Troubleshoot testing problems You will need to be able to Design and modify control logic diagramsYou will need to help support SIM Lab 24/7 operations Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science 2+ years of experience and proficiency with LabVIEW, MATLAB Simulink, Plant Model Development, MATRIXX, and AutoCAD-ElectricalSelf-starter with leadership abilities to assess the situation and take affirmative actions Read and interpret electrical schematics for high voltage/heavy equipment and associated test fixturesExperience with AC and DC motors, 3 Phase Alternators, pulse width modulation controls systemsExperience with RS232/422 communication protocolsProficiency with C/C++ Code and Linux & Unix Commands Excellent problem-solving skills and above average communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, and Power PointWillingness to help support the team with 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift operations
