Hardware Engineer II

We are currently seeking a Hardware Engineer II to join our team in Melville, NY!



JOB DUTIES:

Complete schematic design, review PCB layouts, release BOMs, and drive the hardware release process, including DFM and DFT. Perform hardware bring-up, functional verification, and debugging. Work with firmware, Mechanical and QA team during development and design verification phases. Support prototype builds, board rework, and failure analysis. Assist in regulatory test preparation and resolve related hardware issues. Work with sourcing and cost engineering to control design cost and lead time. Support component selection and qualification with CE/VE teams.

 

YOU MUST HAVE:

3+ years of Hardware design experience 1+ years of experience in schematic design and PCB layout review using Altium, Mentor Graphics, or Cadence 1+ years of hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, power analyzers, and spectrum analyzers, etc

 

WE VALUE:

Experience with debugging communication protocols such as UART, I2C, I2S, SPI, USB, MIPI, BLE, Zigbee, Sub-GHz, and Wi-Fi Capable of soldering and performing board-level rework Able to independently troubleshoot hardware issues during bring-up, validation, and field support Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn Experience applying EMC/EMI design best practices and driving product through certification (UL, ETL, FCC, IC, PTCRB, CE, etc) DFM and DFT implementation experience direct involvement in production transition Experience in low-power and battery-powered hardware design Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements for security or sensor products Experience supporting production, including board bring-up, troubleshooting, and sustaining engineering Experience with high-speed digital circuit design, PMIC integration, or RF/antenna tuning Good communication and documentation skills
