Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Hardware Engineer with a strong experience in wearable or IoT hardware systems, particularly in evaluating and integrating custom chips. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and enjoys working directly with cutting-edge technology. You will focus on developing, testing, and validating reference hardware platforms that incorporate proprietary Wi-R chips, including smartglasses, earbuds, smartwatches, EEG/EMG nodes, smartphones, heart rate monitors, and smartrings, ensuring they are customer-ready.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and test systems built around proprietary chips to ensure performance and reliability.Prepare hardware platforms for customer readiness, including debugging and validation.Conduct hands-on electrical engineering experiments to evaluate system behavior.Gather and analyze data to support performance tuning and issue resolution.Support customer needs directly, including troubleshooting and providing technical guidance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, research, and supply chain.Essential Skills0-3 years of experience with extensive debugging and troubleshooting on PCBs.Experience with IC design.Strong fundamentals in Electrical Engineering, including analog and mixed signal design.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsPh.D. in biomedical engineering hardware, IC design, or similar fields is considered a plus.Expertise in analog, hardware, electrical engineering, electronics, troubleshooting, and validation.Work Environment
This position requires daily onsite presence, working with a team of over 20 engineers from multiple disciplines. The environment fosters innovation within a growing startup and is centered around cutting-edge technology
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
