Hardware Engineer
Job Title: Hardware Engineer

Job Description

This position is responsible for collaborating with a team of engineers in a lab setting to troubleshoot and debug printer controllers and circuit boards, primarily surface mount types. You will address engineering requests daily and prioritize needs effectively.

ResponsibilitiesPerform PCBA soldering, BGA rework, small card builds, and cable construction.Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment and electronic fixtures.Conduct experiments, testing, and document prototype results.Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and schematics.Communicate findings to engineering teams and support project goals.Manage lab inventory, purchasing, and shipping of parts/assemblies.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.Work both independently and collaboratively with engineers.Essential SkillsProficiency in soldering and debugging.Ability to read and interpret electronic diagrams and schematics.Experience with oscilloscopes.IPC Certification.Hands-on experience with PCB rework and electrical assembly.Additional Skills & Qualifications2-year degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field.Work Environment

The work environment is a small, climate-controlled lab consisting of 2-3 people. This position is for a non-automotive industry and starts as a 12-month contract with the potential to extend. Employees begin with 5 floating holidays and acquire paid holidays after 6 months. Performance feedback is provided regularly to ensure growth and potential are met.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
