Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Hardware Engineer with a strong background in wearable or IoT hardware systems, particularly in evaluating and integrating custom chips. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and enjoys working directly with cutting-edge technology. You will work on reference hardware platforms that incorporate our proprietary Wi-R chips, including smartglasses, earbuds, smartwatches, EEG/EMG nodes, smartphones, heart rate monitors, and smartrings. Your focus will be on developing, testing, and validating these systems to ensure they are customer-ready.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and test systems built around our proprietary chip, ensuring performance and reliability.Prepare hardware platforms for customer readiness, including debugging and validation.Conduct hands-on electrical engineering experiments to evaluate system behavior.Gather and analyze data to support performance tuning and issue resolution.Support customer needs directly, including troubleshooting and technical guidance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, research, and supply chain.Work with PCBs and embedded systems to integrate and validate chip functionality.Perform system-level testing and debugging to ensure readiness for deployment.Use Python or basic scripting to automate testing and data analysis.Translate vendor reference designs into optimized, application-specific implementations.Essential Skills0-3 years of experience with extensive debugging and troubleshooting on PCBs.Experience with IC design.Good fundamentals in Electrical Engineering, particularly analog and mixed signal design.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsPh.D. in Biomedical Engineering Hardware or IC design is highly desirable.Expertise in analog, hardware, electrical engineering, electronics, troubleshooting, and validation.Work Environment
You will need to be onsite daily, working closely with a team of 20+ engineers from various disciplines. Our startup environment is dynamic and focused on innovative technology.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
