Hardware Design Engineer – C&P.
You will become a part of a dynamic team that serves the top HVDC worldwide customer as a hardware design engineer –switchyard Control and protection. Within our project groups, it is a varied, autonomous position with lots of responsibility, and you will have excellent opportunity to further your abilities with HVDC. The hardware design of the HVDC system falls under the purview of our division. This covers design, documentation, revision updates, and as-builts.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Preparation of engineering documentation including Key Line Diagram/Protection Interface and Single Line Diagram.Preparation of Functional design documents: Technical specification, General Arrangements drawing, Product selection, Scada Overview drawings.Interface drawings, generating bill of materials & IED order code preparation, Signal I/O schedules, Schematics drawing for all types of protection (Feeders, transformers, Busbars, Reactors, Capacitors, Arc protection) and switchyard control(AC&DC Local interface cubicles, HVDC Interface, DC & AC Yard Marshaling cubicle, Plant monitoring, transformer marshalling kiosk, Junction boxes, Circuit breaker Common control cubicle)Preparation of Manufacturing Documentation using Engineering Base (E-Base) tool: Schematics, Apparatus List, wiring reports, Label list, detailed assembly documents, Difference list for revised documents for Manufacturing Control and Protection cabinets, CT, VT, Marshalling boxes e.t.c.Preparation of Cable Documents: Should Prepare Pre cable list and Cable schedule for Control room Equipment’s, Yard Equipment’s, Fiber optic cables and all site cable coordination cables.Work with project team to fully develop Plant circuit diagram with complete integration and coordination of HV, AC/DC Systems, Networking with control and protection.Knowledge on Performing MCB sizing, CT/VT Sizing & Cable/wire Sizing.Good knowledge on International Electrical Standards (IEEE/IEC/DIN).Should able to identify the customer requirements by understanding specifications, Tender proposals and conduct review meeting with your superiors and document the list of available and pending inputs with highlighting the risks involved.Responsible for preparing Engineering Work plan and Budget estimates for the scope assigned.Develop the plant circuit diagram with support of suitable design tools and send for validation to customer and prepare a plan for comments follow up and approval.To actively participate in design review, lessons learnt process, Check point’s preparation.To play an integral part in team overall success and development of work process.Should be ready for travel and support project team if necessary.To provide regular concise progress to project management, detailing any current and potential issues that may affect project or cost.Take responsibility for the quality & accuracy of work product.
Desired background.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical and Electronics Engineering.Should have between 8-15 years of experience working with Switchyard control and protection.Have Strong Knowledge in Control, Protection, Metering, Measurement, MCC, PCC Panels, SCADA architecture and communication cubicle etc. in MV/HV/EHV Substation Projects.Advanced in Engineering base & AutoCAD tool design. Good knowledge on Siemens IED’s and other OEM IED’s.Good knowledge on Communication protocols such as IEC 101, 104 and 61850. LAN network Communication, Gateway´s.Having experience with HVDC projects will be advantage.Communication, teamwork, and analytical abilities.The ability to speak and work German will be advantageous.It will be advantageous if you have experience in carrying out site work in the appropriate field.
