Creative Modelling is a function responsible for the creation of Design products through the manufacture of bespoke interior and exterior components. As a Hard Modelling Specialist, you will work as part of a multi-skilled team delivering products to an exceptionally high standard using a wide and varied materials, processes and technologies. You will also you will also support less experienced members of the team of model makers, mentoring them regarding modelling techniques, etc.

Interpretation of CAD Drawings/Designs/Sketches/Renderings. Machine, hand manufacture and finish of full size/scale models of automotive components using a wide range of modelling materials and processes (to include Tooling boards, fibreglass, woods, aluminium extrusion, Rapid Prototype materials and plastics) to prescribed standards. Hand finishing and surfacing of full size/scale model components. Liaise and work with other functions and processes within Design Model Operations Contribute to improvement of processes and procedures.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Experience within a Model Shop or Development Area. An excellent understanding of Hard Model creation processes. Use of wood working machinery. Hand finishing and surfacing skills. Problem solving skills.
