Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyman to join our team in Anantara Stanley and Livingstone Victoria Falls Hotel, Zimbabwe. As a Handyman, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure our facilities are in excellent condition. This role requires a practical approach, attention to detail, and the ability to handle diverse maintenance challenges efficiently.

Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needsPerform basic carpentry work, including repairs to doors, windows, and furnitureHandle plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and repairing fixturesCarry out electrical work, including replacing light fixtures, outlets, and switchesComplete painting projects for both interior and exterior surfacesUndertake general repairs and maintenance tasks as neededRespond promptly to maintenance requests and emergenciesMaintain an organized inventory of tools and suppliesEnsure compliance with local building codes and safety regulationsCollaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors when necessary

Qualifications

 

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in maintenance or a related fieldProficiency in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and paintingStrong skills in general repairs and maintenanceExpertise in using various hand and power toolsKnowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance practicesFamiliarity with local building codes and regulations in Victoria Falls, ZimbabweAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprintsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong time management and organizational abilitiesGood communication skills in EnglishFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call when requiredRelevant trade certifications are preferred
