Weatherford has a great opportunity for an experienced Area Quality Leader to join the team in either Broussard LA or Houston TX.
The Geozone Area Quality Leader leads the regional quality function, ensuring excellence across all operations. Working closely with the Geozone Offshore VP, regional teams, and product lines, this role champions our quality initiatives while maintaining ISO and API certifications. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement through effective root cause analysis and quality management techniques to deliver exceptional customer service.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Safety & Compliance**
+ Uphold safety and compliance as top priorities across all business operations.
+ Exercise "Stop Work Authority" when safety concerns, quality non-conformances, or integrity issues arise.
+ Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance and ethical conduct.
+ Establish controls to ensure compliance with government quality regulations.
**Quality Management**
+ Lead implementation and communication of the Quality Management System throughout the Geozone.
+ Maintain all regional API and ISO certifications in coordination with HSE and other functions.
+ Serve as senior management representative for the Quality Management System.
+ Collaborate across functions to ensure quality procedures reflect current processes.
+ Develop and own the consolidated risk-based audit plan for the Geozone.
+ Conduct comprehensive Quality Management reviews at least annually.
**Continuous Improvement**
+ Lead investigation teams for quality events and ensure proper root cause analysis.
+ Ensure timely resolution of audit findings, CPAR actions, and non-conformances.
+ Develop, communicate, and monitor quality KPIs throughout the Geozone.
+ Hold cross-functional leaders accountable for quality objectives.
+ Foster a culture of positive change and continuous improvement.
+ Ensure timely equipment calibration in collaboration with Product Lines.
+ Track and report Cost of Quality elements
**Client Relations**
+ Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding quality concerns.
+ Represent Weatherford in quality-related interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Work closely with product lines to address specific quality issues and implement improvements.
**Team Leadership**
+ Recruit, train, and develop quality personnel across the Geozone.
+ Ensure team members are professionally developing and competent in their roles.
+ Identify and train resources to assist with audits and root cause analyses.
**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field.
+ Minimum 7+ years of experience in quality management, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
+ Proven experience with ISO 9001 and API Q2 quality management systems.
+ Strong understanding of audit processes and root cause analysis methodologies.
+ Certification as a Quality Auditor (CQA) or Quality Manager (CQM) preferred.
+ Experience leading cross-functional teams in a global organization.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levels.
+ Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making approach.
+ Willingness to travel up to 20% within the Geozone.
+ Experience of working offshore would be beneficial.
