About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Solutions Architect to oversee the Guidewire cloud platform and drive its global adoption in support of specialized insurance products. This role is pivotal in shaping the long-term roadmap for the Guidewire platform, ensuring alignment with both enterprise business strategies and the evolving Guidewire ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise application architecture, cloud transformation, and platform modernization, with a strong focus on driving innovation, standardization, and scalability across a complex application landscape.
Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
•Responsible for the Guidewire cloud platform and its adoption to support specialized Insurance products on a global scale. Build and drive the long-term roadmap for the Guidewire platform aligning with both the Guidewire roadmap and business strategic plans.
•Accountable for the oversight of the application portfolio, including ideation and selection of enterprise platforms that are the right fit for Everest. Drive rationalization and roadmap for applications in partnership with the Business architecture.
•In close collaboration with the architecture community, help drive the application modernization program.
•Identify and drive adoption of technical capabilities required to support gaps in current and new business capabilities and aligning with enterprise business drivers.
•Oversee and guide solution design aligning to architecture best practices and integration patterns.
•Maintain application ecosystem and technology and standards artifacts.
•Create and enhance methods and practices for architecture functions to aid collaboration across ETS.
•Track and ensure software version currency including 3rd party and open-source libraries and frameworks.
•Provide leadership, collaborate, and mentor delivery teams and solution architects.
•Conduct cloud readiness assessments and gap analysis for Guidewire transformation.
•Lead technical workshops architecture reviews, and proof of concepts.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or related discipline
•10+ years software development experience with 3 years in an architect role
•3+ years of hands-on experience with building Guidewire solutions and Guidewire cloud platform.
•Highly desired is experience with Guidewire Commercial line implementations like Commercial Auto, Workers’ compensation, General Liability etc.
•Experienced in designing applications built for scale, reliability and resiliency and cloud computing.
•Experience providing governance, best practices, and reusable components in the integration space.
•Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance, and networking.
•Certification in Guidewire cloud platform preferred. Cloud architecture certification preferred in one of the public clouds – Azure, AWS, Google etc.
•Experience with data migration, analytics integration and insurance data models preferred.
•Experience with Guidewire upgrades is a plus.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate technical information to all levels of roles within the organization.
For CA, NY, NJ or IL: The base salary range for this position is $173,000 - $237,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
