Guidewire Engineer job typically involves designing, developing, and testing software solutions for property and casualty insurance companies using the Guidewire platform. They work with Policy Center, Billing Center, and Claim Center applications to build, maintain, and enhance insurance software. Responsibilities may include writing code, troubleshooting issues, conducting systems analysis, and ensuring smooth production releases.
Responsibilities:
+ Design and Development: Developing and implementing Guidewire solutions, including functional enhancements and integrations.
+ Coding and Testing: Writing code, conducting unit testing, and assisting with QA and user acceptance testing.
+ Troubleshooting: Investigating and resolving technical issues and production problems.
+ Systems Analysis: Analyzing systems and recommending changes to improve operations.
+ SDLC Compliance: Ensuring adherence to software development lifecycle processes and standards.
+ Collaboration: Working with business analysts, end-users, and other team members to deliver solutions.
+ Production Support: Participating in production support activities and release management.
+ Mentoring: Providing guidance and support to junior developers.
Skills and Qualifications:
+ Programming: Strong coding skills in languages like Java, Groovy, or JavaScript.
+ Guidewire Expertise: Experience with Guidewire products, particularly Policy Center, Billing Center, and Claim Center.
+ Integration: Knowledge of integration patterns and data migration strategies.
+ Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure.
+ Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile development practices.
+ Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders
The base salary range for this position is $91,457 to $137,186 Annual, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
