NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants may be required to possess a current Louisiana driver's license. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Patrols the buildings and grounds to detect and prevent security issues. Investigate incidents of theft, vandalism or other criminal activity and report findings to law enforcement. Provide emergency assistance and response to staff, patients, and visitors. Completes incidents reports and any additional forms as necessary for all incidents in a timely manner. Compile and complete security complain form and submit it to the Facilities Management Department. Supervise parking and resolves traffic and parking related grievances on hospital grounds. Issues employee parking violations. Provides explanation of complex and unique traffic and parking regulations. Monitor surveillance cameras. Serves as informational source to public for hospital activities. Responsible for securing buildings and facility. Lock and unlock doors according to locking schedule(s). Assist nursing units, clinical care areas and other departments with uncooperative, combative or violent patients. Provide patient watch to prevent elopement or injury to self/others.
